The Revolution Youth Coalition announced on its Facebook page that the Front of Defending the Families of Martyrs and Casualties had decided to stage a vigil in front of the Ministry of Justice on Thursday.
According to the Facebook statement, the protesters will call for a clearance for the martyrs’ families to attend the trial of the defendants, accused of killing their relatives in the January 25 Revolution. Toppled president Hosni Mubarak, his sons Alaa and Gamal, former minister of interior Habib El-Adly and six of the latter’s assistants are facing the murder charges.
Most of the martyrs’ relatives were prevented from attending the opening session on 3 August; only four of them were allowed to get in.
