A 14-year-old worker died Monday and four were injured in a traffic accident in Upper Egypt’s Sohag governorate, the country’s state news agency MENA reported.
The accident took place when two cars collided on Sohag’s agriculture road.
The teenager happened to be walking along the road at the time of the accident.
Three of those injured were also pedestrians, while the fourth was a driver of one of the vehicles.
All four sustained various bruises and bone fractures.
Egypt sees frequent road accidents due to poor maintenance and loosely enforced traffic laws.
