Doctors will protest Tuesday at noon, enflamed over Egypt's minister of health statement that it's impossible to weed out all former regime members from health institutions

The Doctors without Rights Movement has called for a demonstration to be held on Tuesday at noon in front of the Ministry of Health to object to the statements made by Health Minister Amr Helmy regarding the impossibility of cleansing the ministry from former regime figures.

Helmy had stated that it was not possible for the ministry to remove all former National Democratic Party members from their posts in the ministry.

The health workers syndicates of the Mansheyet El-Bakry hospital and the Zawyet El-Hamra hospital declared they will participate in the protest to demand the removal of former NDP members from health ministry and state hospitals.

Doctor Mohamed Shafiq, member of Doctors without Rights, said that employees of the Zawyet El-Hamra hospitals have removed their former hospital president and insist on replacing him with someone they elected by a majority vote.
