Hot weather across Egypt to extend through weekend

Meteorologists expect temperatures to reach 38 degrees Celsius in some parts of the county

Hot weather is expected to hit Egypt during the weekend, Egypt's Meteorological Authority (EMA) reports.

Cairo will see Thursday a high of 36 degrees Celsius and a low of 19.

The coastal city of Alexandria will witness relatively cooler weather with a high of 30 degrees Celsius and a low of 17.

"Mist is expected to obscure vision in Cairo and north coast cities Thursday morning," the statement reads.

Suez Canal cities, southern Sinai beach resorts and Upper Egypt cities will be the hottest, with highs reaching 35-37 degrees Celsius with lows at 28-23 degrees.
