Some protesters are now returning to the Israeli embassy after a long night of demonstrations and rock-throwing. The protests escalated into clashes with the central security forces, creating a battle scene and bombarding the area with tear gas.
Security forces are also increasing in the area and are containing the demonstrations taking place there.
Last night, protesters destroyed the recently-built wall in front of the embassy and managed to reach the floor where the Israeli embassy keeps some of their archives.
Protesters and security forces clashed, several police vehicles and the Giza police station were set on fire.
Three have died and 1,049 injured, according to an announcement by the ministry of interior.
