Two Egyptian pilgrims were killed and 10 others wounded in a bus crash in Saudi Arabia, state news agency MENA reported.
The passengers were in Saudi Arabia performing the Umrah, a Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca.
The accident took place three days ago on a road connecting the Muslim cities of Mecca and Medina, the Egyptian consul-general in Jeddah Adel Al-Alfy said on Sunday.
Four people, including two Egyptian were killed in the crash. Ten others were wounded, two of whom are in critical condition, he added. All of those injured are being treated at two hospitals in Medina, in western Saudi Arabia.
Unlike the Haj pilgrimage, Umrah -- the minor pilgrimage -- can be performed at any time of the year but it is highly popular during the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan, which is expected to start on 6 June.
