Egyptians will celebrate a hot Eid

Highs will reach 41 degrees Celsius in parts of Upper Egypt, with the capital reaching 36 degrees with lows of 25

Egyptians are set to face a hot second day of the Eid Al-Fitr holiday Thursday, with parts of the country to withness humid weather, starting from Cairo to the south of Upper Egypt, according to the country’s meteorological authority.

The high for the capital is forecast to be 36 degrees Celsius Thursday, with a low of 25 C.

The coastal city of Alexandria will be fare better with a high of 31 C and a low of 25 C.

The popular South Sinai resort of Sharm El-Sheikh is expected to see a high of 38 during the day and a low of 29 at night.

Weather will be hotter in the ancient temple city of Luxor in Upper Egypt, with a high of 41 C and a low of 27 C with Aswan witnessing a high of 41 C in morning and 28 C at night.

Egyptians started celebrating the end of the fasting month of Ramadan Wednesday, with Eid prayers held across the country followed by festivities.
