A group of military officers filed a complaint to the military court against activist Asmaa Mahfouz and Nour Ayman Nour, accusing the duo of insulting them and the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF).

The officers, who dwell in military-affiliated residential buildings near the Military Court Complex, claimed that Mahfouz and Nour had sworn at them and cursed SCAF during protests held in the same area on 3 and 4 October.

Last summer, Mahfouz came close to standing military trial after facing similar accusation by SCAF, but the army dropped charges.
