Presidential hopeful Mohamed ElBaradei paid a visit to Archangel Michael Church in ‎the Six of October City to offer his condolences to priests for the Copts who ‎had been brutally killed in protests on Sunday in front of the state TV building known as Maspero.

ElBaradei was accompanied by his wife, activists from the Revolution's Youth Coalition as well other young activists who were friends of late activist Mina Daniel, the most famous among the victims. ‎

ElBaradei expressed his sorrow over the tragic incident, underlining the importance of ‎ending the recently-soured sectarian strife in Egypt that pits Muslims against Copts (Egypt's Christians).‎

“We need radical solutions that are based on a deep understanding of sectarian problems ‎in Egypt,” he said.‎

ElBaradei is to hold a press conference on Sunday to further comment on the clashes, ‎which saw up to 25 people killed and over 300 injured in front of the state TV building.
