The weather in Egypt is expected to improve starting Saturday, with warmer temperatures and an end to several days of rain, the Meteorological Authority forecasted on Friday.

On Thursday, rainfall disrupted traffic in several areas in Cairo, Giza and other governorates.

Earlier this week, the Meteorological authority warned that a wave of unstable weather conditions including rain would hit the country on Tuesday and would peak on Thursday and Friday.

Friday temperatures in Cairo ranged from a high of 19 degrees Celsius with a relatively cold low of 12 degrees ºC.
