A Hungarian delegation arrived at the Egyptian Red Sea city of Hurghada early on Tuesday, to investigate the bus crash that killed 11 Hungarian tourists and injured 29 last Sunday.
According to Alaa Abu El-Azzem, the head of the Red Sea Health Department, the delegation comprises ten Hungarians, including a forensic doctor, several psychologists and several officials from the criminal prosecution.
After arriving in Hurghada, the delegation met with several of the injured, who are currently recuperating in the private Nile Hospital in the resort city. The group also visited the scene of the accident.
Abu El-Azzem has revealed that four of the dead have been identified, but the names of the remaining seven are still unknown due to their severe injuries. However, the Hungarian delegation is expected to perform DNA tests to identify the remaining bodies.
The bus flipped over after the driver took a sharp turn while en route to Hurghada Airport, where the tourists were due to board a plane back to Hungary.
