An Alexandria prosecution has ordered the detention of 233 members of Zamalek Ultras White Knights for four days pending investigation into rioting at Borg El-Arab Stadium after the CAF Champions League group stage game against Ahly Tripoli on Sunday, state-run MENA news agency reported.
The prosecution charged the defendants with joining an outlawed group, preventing state authorities from carrying out their duties, endangering lives, assaulting police, vandalising public properties and the possession of fireworks.
In May 2015, an Egyptian court banned Ultras fan clubs.
