Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry is set to meet with his Djiboutian counterpart Mohamed Ali Youssef in Cairo on Sunday to arrange the agenda for an urgent meeting of Arab foreign ministers in the Egyptian capital the following day, Al-Ahram Arabic news website reported.

An urgent meeting of Arab League foreign ministers has been called for by Saudi Arabia, and will be held under the presidency of Djibouti in response to what Saudi has called “Iranian interventions in regional affairs."

The meeting will be preceded by a meeting of the committee made up of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and the UAE on preventing Iran's interventions in neighbouring countries.

Saturday's meeting between Shoukry and Youssef will also discuss significant regional developments, as well as bilateral relations in several fields.
