Egypt's Meteorological Authority says cold weather is expected across Egypt next week, with temperatures to drop by 3-4 degrees Celsius starting Saturday.
The colder weather will be accompanied by dusty winds.
Temperatures will continue to drop on Sunday and Monday, with rainfall expected along the country's northern coast, the Nile Delta and the capital Cairo.
On Saturday, average temperatures in Cairo and the Nile Delta will be 23 C during the day.
On Sunday and Monday, daytime temperatures are expected at 18-19 C.
Cities in the country's northeastern coast, including the Suez Canal cities and part of the Delta, will see average temperatures of 21 C on Saturday. Temperatures will drop 2-3 degrees in the following two days.
Egypt's northwestern coast, including the port city of Marsa Matrouh, is expected to see slightly colder temperatures of 17-18 C on Sunday and Monday.
The country's south will see relatively less cold weather. Northern Upper Egypt is expected to see average temperatures of 23 C on Saturday, while the southern part will see an average of 30 C. Temperatures will drop by around 3 degrees on Sunday and Monday.
Winter temperatures in Egypt have been unusually high this season, as the weather is normally colder around this time of year.
