Prime Minister Kamal El-Ganzouri told the press the new government will likely to be sworn in on Wednesday, and that he will never use force against protesters camping outside of cabinet offices

Egyptian Prime Minister Kamal El-Ganzouri said in a press conference Tuesday evening that the anticipated announcement of a new cabinet would “probably” be made on Wednesday.

He also declined to disclose the name of the new interior minister.

“The interior minister will be unveiled when he takes the oath of office,” the 78-year-old said.

El-Ganzouri revealed that the new government would not include any youth as ministers, but added that he appointed six to be assistants to new ministers.

He also insisted that protesters who had been staging a sit-in at the headquarters of the cabinet for the past 10 days to oppose his appointment to the premiership by the ruling military council would never be confronted by police.

“I will not accept any violence against Egyptian people,” he added.
