Egyptian presidential candidate and head of the Ghad Party Moussa Mostafa Moussa has said that his electoral programme is capable of changing Egypt and achieving development and progress, and that his party is well-prepared for the elections, Al-Ahram Arabic news website reported on Saturday.
Moussa also expressed his gratitude to the Arab Tribes Union for endorsing him for president in the coming presidential elections during a meeting between his campaign and the Union on coordination for the electoral campaign.
Moussa added that the elections will be fair, and that whoever wins, it will be in the interest of the Egyptian state.
Moussa is facing President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi in the presidential race, voting for which will take place on 26-28 March.
Public campaign rallies for the two candidates have been held over the past week ahead of the upcoming elections.
President El-Sisi, whose current term will end in June, won the 2014 presidential elections with nearly 97 percent of the vote against his opponent, leftist politician Hamdeen Sabahi.
Run-offs, if they are to take place, are set for 24-26 April. If no run-offs are necessary, the winner will be announced on 2 April.
