Second day of run-offs begin

The second day of run-offs in the latest round of Egyptian parliamentary the elections began at 8am Thursday.

The run-offs will see 118 independent candidates competing for 59 individual seats.

The second phase of Egypt’s three-stage elections covers nine governorates, including Giza, Beni Suef, Menoufiya, Sharqiya, Ismaliya, Suez, Beheira, Sohag and Aswan.
