Head of Egypt's State Information Service Deyaa Rashwan said on Tuesday that he has only one official Facebook page under his name, Al-Ahram Gate reported.

Rashwan said that an anonymous person created a second account under his name, using his photo as a profile picture. The SIS head also said the person had been sending friend requests to public figures and Egyptian officials using this profile.

Authorities have been notified to take necessary legal procedures. 

Rashwan also said that Facebook administration has been informed and asked to delete the fake account.
