Egypt's Ministry of Finance is set to pay all state employees their June salaries on Wednesday ahead of the three-day Eid Al-Fitr holiday, which will begin on 15 June.

According to the ministry, July's salaries will be released on 7 July, August's on 16 August and September on 20 September.

Most state employees receive their monthly salary on the 25th and the 26th of each month.

Around 6.5 million Egyptians are state employees.
