Egyptian State Security Prosecution has renewed on Sunday the detention of well-known labour lawyer Haitham Mohammadein for 15 days pending investigation on charges of inciting illegal gathering in what is known as "Metro Events" of last month.

Police investigations said Mohammadein committed the crimes of joining an illegal group to prevent the state of carrying out its duties, disrupting civil peace and defying authorities.
