Egyptian, Greek and Cypriot naval and air forces began joint drills in the Mediterranean on Monday, the Egyptian army said in a statement.
The Medusa 6 drills include several activities, such as planning and managing joint naval and air force operations, as well as exchanging expertise between the forces, in order to increase their combat experience and effectiveness.
The participants expressed their happiness at the good reception and organisation of the drills.
The exercise comes as part of the military partnership and cooperation between Egypt and friendly and brotherly countries, the armed forces’ statement said, as part of coordinating efforts and joint work to face increasing challenges in the Mediterranean region.
