Egyptian weather forecasters expect steady and moderate temperatures into the weekend, with highs in the capital Cairo expected to hover around 37 degrees Celsius over the coming few days.
Cairo and the Nile Delta governorates are predicted to see steady highs of 37 and lows of 24 on Thursday and Friday, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) said on its official website.
The Mediterranean city of Alexandria will see highs of 31 and lows of 24 over the two days.
Temperatures in the popular Red Sea resort cities of Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh will be slightly higher, with highs of 39 and lows of 27.
Upper Egypt will see highs of 41 and lows of 29.
The mercury on Wednesday will record almost the same highs and lows across the country, the EMA said in a separate statement.
