Egypt has condemned two terrorist attacks that killed over two dozen people in Afghanistan on Tuesday.
Fifteen people were killed in Afghanistan’s eastern city of Jalalabad when gunmen stormed a government building after a suicide bomber blew himself up at the entrance gate. Eleven more were killed in the western province of Farah when their bus was hit by a roadside bomb.
Egypt's foreign ministry stressed that Cairo "is standing by Afghanistan's government and people in the face of such bloody terrorist attacks."
The ministry reiterated Cairo's call for serious steps by the international community to dry up terrorist groups' sources of funding and deprive them of training and safe havens.
