A Saudi Airlines plane made an emergency landing at Cairo airport on Sunday when a passenger on board became ill, Al-Ahram Arabic news website reported.
According to sources at Cairo International Airport, the control tower received a message from the Saudi plane, which was on its way to Tunisia from Jeddah, requesting a doctor and an ambulance for a Tunisian passenger who was unwell.
The plane was given the green light to land at Cairo and the 37-year-old passenger was transferred to a hospital near the airport.
