Death toll among Egyptian pilgrims on hajj in Saudi Arabia rises to 45: Ministry

The death toll among Egyptian pilgrims on the hajj in Saudi Arabia this year has risen to 45, according to Egypt's Ministry of Health.

A 66-year-old man from Assiut and a 59-year-old woman from Gharbiya died of circulatory collapse and respiratory failure, according to the head of Egypt's hajj medical mission Mohamed Shawky.

Egyptian authorities are working to issue death certificates for the deceased.
