Seven terrorists have been killed by Egyptian security forces in a shootout in the North Sinai city of El-Arish, an official source said on Monday.

Security forces conducted a raid on the terrorists’ hideout based on information obtained by intelligence officials.

The group was planning terrorist attacks targeting state institutions, the source explained, adding that they were found in possession of large amounts of ammunition, firearms, and improvised explosive devices.
