Egypt to see warmer daytime temperatures over next two days: Meteorologists

Weather across several parts of Egypt is expected to warm up during the day over the next two days, but wintry temperatures will continue at night.

High temperatures in the capital Cairo and cities in the Nile Delta are predicted to go up from 20 degree Celsius on Tuesday to 24 then 26 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday respectively, while lows are expected at 13 and 15, the Egyptian Metrological Authority said on its official website.

The Mediterranean city of Alexandria and other cities on the coast are expected to see highs of 21 and 25 degrees on the next two days, with lows of 11 and 12.

The popular Red Sea resorts of Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada will see highs of 25 and 26 degrees and lows of 17 on both days.

Rain is forecast for the North Coast on Tuesday and for the northwestern Mediterranean including the port city of Marsa Matrouh on Thursday, the authority said in its four-day forecast.

High temperatures in the country’s south, usually the warmest, will rise by 5-6 degrees over the next two days. The northern part of Upper Egypt-which includes the governorates of Minya, Fayoum and Beni Suef- will see highs of 24 and 28 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday, while lows will continue to be almost the same --between 10-12 C.

The southern part of Upper Egypt, where the ancient cities of Luxor and Aswan are located, will see highs of 27 and 30 degrees and lows of 14 and 16 on both days.
