The National Elections Authority (NEA), headed by Counsellor Lashin Ibrahim, said on Tuesday that 13 Egyptian and foreign associations, foundations, and organizations have been allowed to join its lists of election and referendum monitors.

The NEA added in a press statement that its decision means that these entities will be registered on its database of accredited monitors.

The decision covers two foreign organizations, it made it clear.

The NEA said it also accepted requests by four media outlets to join its database to be able to cover news connected with any future elections or referendums in the country.
