Egypt condemned on Sunday evening the terrorist attack west of Iraq's city of Mosul where a bomb-laden car killed and wounded several people earlier in the day, the Egyptian foreign ministry said in a statement on Sunday evening.
The foreign ministry's statement expressed Egypt's condolences to the victims' families and wished the speedy recovery to the injured.
The statement also expressed Egypt's total solidarity as a government and people with Iraq's people and government.
The statement renewed "Egypt's firm stance on the need to confront all forms of terrorism, violence and extremism; to drain sources of finance and support for terrorism; as well as preventing the provision of safe havens to terrorists."
