Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi held talks with Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on how to boost bilateral relations, especially economic and investment ties, in Mecca on Friday.

El-Sisi had attended the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation’s (OIC) ordinary summit in Mecca on Friday.

The Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said the pair also discussed the promising investment opportunities in Egypt and some regional files, in addition to the situation in the Gulf region and the Syrian, Yemeni and Libyan crises. 

Both sides agreed on the importance of continued intensive bilateral coordination and consultations at the current critical juncture in the region’s history and in light of the constantly changing conditions in the region, so as to shore up the unity of the Arab and Islamic nations in face of the numerous challenges besetting them, Rady said.

The kingdom is interested in boosting cooperation, the crown prince told El-Sisi, lauding Egypt’s efforts that contributed to the success of the emergency Arab summit and the ordinary OIC summit over the past two days.
