Egypt's defence minister heads to Washington, D.C. for talks with US counterpart

Egypt's Minister of Defence and Military Production Mohamed Zaki left for the US Capital Washington, D.C. on Saturday with a high-level military delegation, the Egyptian Armed Forces said in a statement.

The Egyptian Minister of Defense and General Commander of the Armed Forces' visit comes upon an official invitation of United States Secretary of Defense Mark Esper.

Zaki is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with his counterpart to discuss a number of issues of mutual interest to enhance bilateral relations and military cooperation in various fields.
