The General Organization for Export & Import Control (GOEIC) received 95,575 tons of frozen and refrigerated meat imports from May to July this year, to meet market demands ahead of this week’s Eid Al-Adha holiday.
According to a recent report issued by the GOEIC and submitted to Minister of Trade and Industry Amr Nassar, the GOEIC also received 28,445 heads of livestock during May and June.
The report said the GOEIC had inspected cargoes to ensure they met specifications, and refused those which did not do so.
