Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi voiced the appreciation of the Egyptian government and people for the country's ties with Japan and its people.
President Sisi hailed Japanese values and dedication to work as a model to follow, noting that Egypt seeks to increase the number of the Japanese tourists visiting it as well as to continue cultural exchange between both countries.
The president made the remarks on Saturday during his meeting here with Natsuo Yamaguchi, the chief of Komeito, the junior partner in the ruling coalition led by the Liberal Democratic Party in Japan.
El-Sisi said he is looking forward to consolidating channels of interaction and cooperation with Japan as well as benefiting from the Japanese experience in several fields, topped by the education system which attaches great importance to promoting values among students, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.
The Komeito head lauded the long-lasting relations binding both friendly countries, stressing Japan's keenness on promoting such ties in various fields given the major role that Egypt plays in the Middle East region, which he described as a key pillar for the region's security and stability.
The meeting touched on means of boosting relations between both countries in the trade, investment and tourism fields.
