Egypt's weather cools down on Saturday

The temperature in Egypt dropped on Saturday, as several areas were bound to see sandy winds, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) said on Friday.

 

The weather in the northern coast would be moderate, while Cairo and coastal governorates would be mostly humid, stated the EMA.

 

The sandy winds are forecast to hit areas in South Sinai and southern regions in the country, as well as the Red Sea and the Gulf of Suez; affecting maritime navigation in those areas, the EMA statement added.

 

The weather is expected to affect the Red Sea, with waves reaching 2-2.5 metres high, while the Mediterranean is seeing waves reaching 1.5-2 metres high.

 

Cairo's temperature is recording 34 degrees Celsius during the day and 26 at night, while the Mediterranean city of Alexandria is witnessing a high of 30 and a low of 26.

 

Temperatures in the tourist hubs of Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh have been recorded at 37 during the day will drop to 28 and 29, respectively, at night.
