Egyptian navy rescues tourists aboard yacht adrift in Red Sea

The Egyptian navy rescued on Monday 38 people aboard a tourist yacht that had gone adrift in the Red Sea, according to the Egyptian army spokesman.

Units from the Red Sea naval base were dispatched by the Armed Forces General Command to the location of the yacht, which was experiencing technical difficulties.

The yacht had 26 tourists and 12 crew members on board, according to the statement.

The passengers were provided with medical aid upon arrival at the Red Sea naval base.
