PAS aircraft makes emergency landing near Port Said; no one hurt

The Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation said on Friday evening that a helicopter belonging to the Petroleum Air Service (PAS) company was forced to make an emergency landing at sea, 65 miles north of Port Said, while returning from an oil rig to Port Said city. 

 

The helicopter had three foreign passengers and two crew members on board, but no one was hurt according to a statement issued by the ministry.

 

The ministry said that it dispatched a search and rescue team to the scene of the incident to carry out rescue operations and retrieve the aircraft.

 

The ministry formed a committee to determine the causes of the accident.
