Egypt's Sisi, Montenegrin defence minister

President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi met on Monday with Montenegrin Defence Minister Predrag Bošković in Cairo.

During the meeting, El-Sisi voiced Egypt's interest in boosting cooperation with Montenegro in various fields, particularly in defence.

El-Sisi asked Bošković to convey his greetings to the Montenegrin president, expressing hope that Bošković's first-of-its-kind visit to Egypt would help promote bilateral relations in the defence field, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.

El-Sisi spoke of Egypt's efforts to combat terrorism and illegal migration, in addition to hosting millions of refugees.

Bošković expressed his country's desire to reinforce relations with Egypt, which he said plays a vital role in maintaining security and stability in the Middle East rergion and the Mediterranean.

He further praised efforts exerted by Egypt, under President El-Sisi, to control borders and eradicate terrorism and illegal migration.
