Cairo will see some rain on Sunday, while other parts of the country can expect downpours and flooding, meteorologists have said.
There will be heavy rainfall on Sunday and Monday on the northern coast, in the Suez Canal cities, and in northern and central Sinai, with those parts of Sinai seeing flooding as a result, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority said on Friday.
Rainfall will be moderate in Cairo and the Nile Delta cities, while dust storms will follow in eastern Egypt, the Nile Delta and the northern part of Upper Egypt.
Greater Cairo and the Nile Delta will see highs of between 16 and 17 degrees Celsius on Sunday, with warmer temperatures returning on Monday.
The Mediterranean will see severe turbulence in its maritime navigation on Sunday, and temperatures in the northern cities will drop by around three to four degrees.
Highs on the north coast are expected to reach 17 to 18 degrees.
The EMA warned drivers of reduced visibility due to the rain and dust storms.
