Egypt offers condolences over Ukraine plane crash

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy for the victims of the Ukrainian plane, which crashed on Wednesday shortly after taking off from Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport.

The ministry said Egypt supports the government and people of Ukraine in such circumstances. 

All 176 people on board were killed in the crash, while the cause has been so far officially unannounced.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy announced sending a group of Ukrainian experts to Iran to assist in the investigation.
