Members of international human trafficking ring arrested in Egypt

The defendants were referred to the Supreme State Security Prosecution and ordered detained pending investigations

Egypt's Administrative Control Authority (ACA) has arrested all the members of an international human trafficking ring made up of eight individuals, headed by a Palestinian woman.

According to a statement issued by the ACA on Monday, the gang was involved in counterfeiting government documents and luring foreign patients who needed to undergo kidney transplant surgeries, in violation of Law No. 5 For 2010 regarding the regulation of human organ transplantation.

The defendants were referred to the Supreme State Security Prosecution and ordered detained pending investigations.
