Egypt to see 3 rainy days starting Wednesday

The Saint Catherine city in South Sinai will see the lowest temperature in the country on Wednesday with lows hitting 0 degrees Celsius

Egypt's Meteorological Authority (EMA) said that Egypt is expected to see rainy weather for four days starting Wednesday until next Saturday.

In its four-day weather forecast, EMA said that weather is expected to be rainy in the Nile Delta region, along the North Coast and in parts of Sinai from Wednesday through Friday, adding that the rain may extend to Cairo as well on Wednesday and Friday alone.

Saturday is expected to be dry.

The authority warned of heavy fog during early day times as well as active wind that may hinder navigation on the Mediterranean Sea on Wednesday and Thursday.

The city of Saint Catherine in South Sinai governorate will see the lowest temperature in the country on Wednesday with highs of 11 degrees Celsius at highs lows of 0.

The city is located on the outskirts of the El -Tur Mountain at an altitude of 1,586 m, 120 km away from Nuweiba, at the foot of Mount Sinai and Saint Catherine's Monastery, one of the oldest working Christian monasteries in the world.

The expected temperature forecast in degrees Celsius on Wednesday is as follows:

Cairo :High 15 - Lows 10 

Alexandria: 17 -11

North Sinai: 16-9 

South Sinai: 20-12

Saint Catherine: 11- 0

South Upper Egypt: 16-8

North Upper Egypt: 17-9

Red Sea: 20-11

Suez Canal Governorates: Ismailia (16-8)- Suez (17-11)- Port Said ( 15-10)
