Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi lauded on Monday the Chinese success in containing coronavirus in a telephone call with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday afternoon, the Egyptian presidency said.

El-Sisi expressed to Xi his aspiration to boost cooperation between the health establishments of the two countries to benefit from the Chinese mechanism to manage the coronavirus crisis.

The Chinese president expressed his people and government’s gratitude for Egypt’s quick aid to the country during the crisis.

He asserted that China was fully ready to present its experience and capabilities to combat the virus.

The Egyptian presidency added that the two leaders agreed to boost strategic cooperation between the two countries especially when it comes to the localisation of Chinese technology.
