The General Command of the Armed Forces has issued directives to all affiliated departments to provide medical supplies to support the country's anti-coronavirus efforts.

The measure came as part of directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to take all precautionary measures to combat the virus.

Meanwhile, a Cairo airbase received a military jet, carrying a shipment of medical supplies imported from abroad in cooperation between the Armed Forces, the Health Ministry and the Egyptian authority for unified procurement and medical supply.

The jet crew members have undergone medical checkups to make sure that they did not contract the virus.
