Egypt is expected to see hot weather on Saturday accompanied by sand and dust-filled wind in Cairo, Nile Delta areas and cities along the Mediterranean coast, the Meteorological Authority (EMA) said on Friday.
Some parts on the northwest coast will be also hit with sandstorms, the EMA added.
Temperature in Cairo will increase by six degrees Celsius on Saturday, with the capital expected to see a high of 35 and a low of 20 degrees, while Alexandria will see a high of 31 and a low of 19.
The weather will be extremely hot in Upper Egypt during the day. The temperature in Aswan will reach a high of 38 degrees Celsius, while at night the low will be 23.
Temperature in Sharm El-Sheikh resort in South Sinai will be 32 in the day and 23 at night, while the Red Sea city of Hurghada will experience a high of 31 and a low of 23.
Maritime transportation in the Mediterranean Sea could see disruptions due to the winds, while the Red Sea will be slightly more stable, the EMA said on its official website.
