Recovered coronavirus patient in Hurghada gives birth

A recovered coronavirus patient gave birth to a baby on Sunday in Hurghada days after being discharged from a quarantine hospital, Al-Ahram Arabic website reported.

According to health officials in the Red Sea governorate, the 35-year-old woman, who was discharged from Esna quarantine hospital three days ago, gave birth to a boy baby in a cesarean operation in Hurghada Central Hospital.

The hospital said that the medical team that carried out the cesarean operation wore protective suits in accordance with the instructions of the World Health Organisation and the health ministry.

Egypt has so far recorded 1,070 coronavirus cases, 241 of whom have fully recovered and 71 have died.
