President Abdel Fattah El Sisi directed the government to give a top priority to electricity projects in North Sinai.

Sisi's directives came during his meeting on Thursday with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker, said Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady.

During the meeting, President Sisi called for applying the standardized program for recording meter readings, which in turn guarantees the fair collection for the Electricity Ministry, the spokesman added.

The meeting tackled the latest progress in electricity projects being carried out across the nation, including a project to establish power lines and high-voltage (HV) cables tunnels in the New Administrative Capital.
