Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry discussed the coronavirus crisis and issues in the Middle East in a phone call with his British counterpart Dominic Raab on Thursday, the Egyptian foreign ministry said.

During the phone conversation, the two officials agreed to strengthen international cooperation in the fight against the coronavirus and dealing with its repercussions on all levels, the ministry said in a statement.
The pair looked at the latest developments in the Israeli-Palestine crisis, stressing on the importance of "maintaining a two-state solution," ministry spokesman Ahmed Hafez said in the statement.
They also tackled the situation in Libya and efforts to push for a "comprehensive political settlement to restore security and stability" in the country.
