A Czech tour guide kidnapped on Thursday morning in the coastal city of Nuweiba has been released.

The 35-year-old woman was abducted when her tour bus was stopped by four armed assailants while on the way back to Sharm El-Sheikh.

The bus had 12 Czech tourists on board when the incident took place. This is the fourth kidnapping of foreigners in Sinai this year. In the three previous cases, the tourists were kidnapped by Bedouin who demanded the release of their relatives from prison in exchange for the hostages.

The reason for the kidnapping is still unknown.
