Egypt’s weather is expected to see higher temperatures during Eid Al-Adha holiday, slated from Thursday to Monday, reported the state-run MENA news agency.

Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) experts expect a slight rise in temperatures ranging from two to three degrees Celsius, leading to warm and humid temperatures in the north and extremely hot temperatures in the south.

Light rain of around 40 to 50 percent is also expected in various regions, including southern Upper Egypt, the Red Sea, and South Sinai, accompanied by sand and dust-filled wind that will result in disruptions of maritime navigation in the Gulf of Suez.

Eid Al-Adha is the second of two major annual religious holidays celebrated by Muslims globally.
