The parliamentary bloc of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) will begin procedures to withdraw confidence from Kamal El-Ganzouri government on Thursday.

The FJP, the political arm of the Muslim Brotherhood, made the announcement on the Brotherhood's official site Ikhwanonline.

The Brotherhood will also begin a "peaceful handover of power" campaign, calling for the resignation of the government.

The Brotherhood has been calling for the resignation of the Ganzouri government for weeks, saying it has failed to fulfil the demands of the January 25 Revolution.
